There is nothing I love more than singing. Since joining Cantabile three years ago, I’ve had the chance to perform so many incredible pieces—some of my favorites being “We Are the Garden” and “From the Window of Despair”—and, even more importantly, I’ve met so many amazing people.

Cantabile is more than just a hobby to me. Beyond singing, it’s a place where I’ve connected with other passionate singers, nerded out over music theory, and even spontaneously burst into song. I’ve been part of other choirs before, but what makes Cantabile special is the depth and passion Elena brings to every rehearsal. Her passion for song and their roots and histories is a really unique experience. We’re constantly learning something new, be it about different cultures, languages, or the empowering nature of song. And I feel that this experience has really shaped the way I view the world, even in non-music-related subjects such as literature, art, and history.

Finally, I want to thank Elena, Jessica, our leadership team, the parent volunteers, and everyone who has worked tirelessly to build and support this incredible community.
