I was first introduced to Cantabile through my sister. I was impressed by the professionalism and repertoire showcased at their concerts, and was inspired to join Cantabile by the skill and passion of the young men’s division. After joining Cantabile, I quickly realized that there was much more to the choir than just their love for music. The amazing community they fostered was truly special, from the welcoming enthusiasm of the older choirs, to the patience and support of the conductors, all of which made me feel at home in no time. This was truly apparent at my first retreat where in just one weekend, I met the members of Bravi and made valuable friendships that lasted to when my own voice changed, and will persist well beyond my time at Cantabile. This welcoming environment made an impression on me that drove me to reach out to people in and out of Cantabile, and helped me become more comfortable around new people. The passion and dedication of Cantabile is still a marvel to me, as every rehearsal the enthusiasm of the group makes me excited to learn and improve no matter what’s happening in my life. This devoted and accepting nature of Cantabile is what has made my time here so transformative, and is what will make it an unforgettable experience that will stay with me forever.
