Nine years ago, on an ordinary day in September, I walked into my first Cantabile rehearsal. Immediately, I was captivated by the rhythm sticks, yoga mats, and music that I saw, written in languages I had never even heard of before. As I spent more time in rehearsals, I started to open my mind up to new cultures, people, and stories. Then, when I started Vocalise and moved to the church on Border Road, my love for music grew tenfold. From singing in the Berlin Philharmonie to leading rehearsals with my favorite people every Sunday, I have truly found my voice through Cantabile. To my geesing group and aria family, Elena, Jessica, Joseph, and everyone in the Cantabile community, thank you so much for the memories I’ll carry with me forever.
