"I remember when I joined Cantabile in the 6th grade—the excitement I felt about the artistry and diversity of music from all over the world. Since then, Cantabile has been a beacon of what I originally came for and so much more. I’m so grateful for the opportunities Cantabile has given me; never in my wildest dreams did I anticipate the stages I would perform on and the people I would meet along the way with Cantabile. In my first year of high school, my mom suggested that I take a break from Cantabile for high school, but after one year without it, I realized how indispensable this group is to me. I craved the connections with audiences, challenges through music, artistry in musical composition, and, most importantly, the close relationships Cantabile fosters. This choir has taught me how to interpret music, sing in any language, and grasp a vocal part in a pinch. Cantabile has also taught me about time management, leadership, artistry, and friendship. Finally, I want to thank my sisters Uma and Meghna, and my parents for being the biggest supporters of my musical ambitions. "
