Peninsula Choral Workshop

Peninsula Choral Workshop (PCW) is a summer activity of the Guild directed at teenagers. It is a non-residence, intensive, choral music camp. PCW is focused on providing an opportunity for young singers to reach beyond the level of training available in their high school music programs. The Guild arranges the Workshop, handles logistics, contract clinicians and provides some level of subsidy to the students. Each workshop concludes with a demonstration concert which is open to the public.

Clinicians are selected based on their rapport with the students and their expertise in developing young voices. For many students, the Workshop is the first opportunity to work closely with professionals whose focus is on music performance rather than on teaching.

2004 Peninsula Choral Workshop

PCW will take a vacation for the summer of 2004. BCG administrative and artistic staff will be assessing community needs as well as meeting with area music educators to gather information toward the enhancement of our present programming. Look for a re-launch in summer of 2005 with new curriculum and format.
