Sponsors support current season
and long-term organizational goals The David and Lucile Packard Foundation has awarded the Guild two major grants that will address the organization's current season and long-term needs. A $40,000 program grant supports audience development and fund raising efforts for two years. BCG looks to boost earned and unearned income in order to support the anticipated increase in expenses due to the move into a central business office in 2002. The Packard Foundation also awarded a $20,000 Organizational Effectiveness (OE) grant to support Phase II of our transition to a new level of professional administration. OE funds pay for services of consultant Corty Fengler, who successfully guided us through Phase I last year. Besides Packard support, BCG also received a $3200 Organizational Enhancement grant from Arts Council Silicon Valley and a $2500 general operations grant from California Casualty Group. Moving into a professional headquarters will require a 30% increase in our operating budget. Your participation is crucial to our succesfully achieving this goal. You can take this step with us as an audience member, a chorister, a donor, a volunteer. Volunteers are especially valuable to us. We are looking for folks who would be willing to:
* Help with concert setup and takedown
* Contribute frequent flier miles to provide air transportation for soloists
* Find or donate prizes - especially a grand prize - for our drawing
