Baroque Choral Guild has a new address! After 23 years of living “at home with the folks,” BCG has finally grown up and found a place of its own.

The new headquarters are in downtown Mountain View, only a block from Castro Street, a block fro the post office, and two blocks from Caltrain and light rail.

At 700+ square feet, the office is large enough to permit BCG’s two employees to work side-by-side without tripping over each other; plus accommodate a big work/conference table and plenty of storage space for all of the Guild’s files, archives, music, instruments, and paraphernalia.

It took staff a good four weeks to complete the move and there were many volunteers who helped with their contributions of equipment, supplies, labor, and expertise.

We would like to acknowledge and thank Corty Fengler, Norm Proctor, Elisabeth Sime and David Vossbrink for their muscle-work in moving boxes and furniture; Dick Wing for the use of his truck; Dr. José Montoya, Wendy Bartlett, Bill van Melle, and Sally Ahnger for donating furnishings; and David Henschel and Ken Buchholz for their handyman services;

Special thanks to Nick Vossbrink, who wired all our computer equipment, set up our phonelines and DSL, and continues to serve as our tech support.
